A basic supply agreement was signed by Raba and the agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas

Raba Axle Ltd. and the German Claas Selbstfahrende Erntemaschienen GmbH signed a basic supply agreement valid until 30. 09. 2009 (with extension options). As a result of the actually signed contact the expected volume of sales can reach a value of 5 million Euros.

The relationship between Raba and Claas dates back to more than a decade. The cooperation between the companies started in 1994, when Raba started to deliver complete axles for the universal tractor project of Claas. As a result of the cooperation Claas builds in its Xerion type of agricultural tractors exclusively wet brake axles produced and developed by Raba.

Claas deliveries are a great challenge for Raba, because the strongly loaded axle pairs, built in the all wheel drive, all wheel steering, 360 HP special agricultural machines, which can be used as a tractor, as a high speed transport vehicle and as a universal carrier as well, should meet multiple technical requirements.

The actually signed contract is valid until 30. 09. 2009 and can be extended to additional terms. The agreement is predicted to result a sales volume of 5 million Euros.

As a consequence of the permanent expansion on the agricultural machinery market further increase can be predicted and this is supported by the fact, that Claas is now a significant player of the international tractor market, after the acquisition of a majority stake in RENAULT Agriculture.
