Hungarian Rába Axle Manufacturing Ltd. and the bus division of GAZ Group signed a general supply agreement for the period of 2007-2010, and according to this the Győr corporated company calculates width a yearly income of 13,1 million EUR from this partner. Rába sales front axle I beams and components on the strategic CIS market, where one of its most important partners still are LiAZ, PAZ, and KAAZ, members of the bus division of GAZ Group.

Rába and ArvinMeritor Europe has been in business relation since year 2004, when the supplies of rear axles components started. The sales turover between Rába and ArvinMeritor Europe has reached the peak of 5 million EUR in year 2006.

Talks between the two companies in this product segment started in 2005, and throughout the series of several commercial and technical negotiations - to fully meet Volvo's, as end user-requirements - , the final agreement has been concluded.

The final decision on Rába and the signing of the general supply agreement was preceded by an axtensive supplier qualification process, during wich a thorough audit of Rába's production, processes and logistics was carried out.

The American corporated ArvinMeritor is the axclusive supplier of the Volvo Group in the segment of the European road vehicle business, so the Hungarian Rába through ArvinMeritor became front axle components supplier of Volvo Group (Volvo and Renault trucks).
