The Rába Axle Ltd. invested in its new developments and technologies 7,2 million EUR in 2008. Thanks to this it can improve its competitiveness on the markets of the world.

Many development project is running yet, most of them are the parts of the modernisation program which was launched in 2008 and will be ended in 2011.

Rába’s dynamic growth and its capability to comply with new market trends manifests itself in the fact that in the course of 2008, Rába implemented 37 different new developments including the development of new axle families. These successes have facilitated among others by the up-to-date technical devices and the innovative creativity.

  • One of the most significant innovations for heavy-duty trucks is the new axle types with higher load-bearing capacity (compared to the previous ones) which are developed for Marmon-Herrington. Also in this category, Rába developed new constructions for the three-axle 26-ton road and 33-ton off-road vehicles of URALAZ.
  • Rába created a new agricultural (wet-brake) axle pair for the French Vandel company; the aims of these developments are the cost-saving and the load capacity-enhancing.
  • Fulfilling the European needs, Rába started to manufacture new I-beams, pinion and gear sets in 2008.
